I am Thankful for ...

fall with the crisp air and the beautiful colors of the season, but most of all I am grateful for this time of year as we pause and reflect on the many blessings we receive daily. I am grateful for the command to show gratitude and to count our many blessings.

I am extremely grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the knowledge I have of a Father in Heaven and a Savior who love me and want me to live with them again. This knowledge keeps me trying harder each day.

I am grateful for an extraordinary happy marriage. I have a wonderful husband who loves me and helps me be a better person. Life has been good to us. One of my BYU professors liked to refer to a happy marriage as one where the husband and wife have learned to dance well together. We have learned to dance well together!

I am grateful for my children and grandchildren. Nothing is sweeter in life than your posterity. I am grateful that my children married good people who are loving and kind. It is such a joy to watch my grandchildren learn and grow. I love receiving a phone call or a text message from one of these sweet little children.

As time goes on I become more grateful each day for life itself and the many freedoms I enjoy. I am grateful for the many opportunites I have to continue to learn. Now that life is not quite as crazy, hectic and busy, I take advantage of the time to reflect and appreciate the simple joys of life. I wish I would have taken the time to do this when I was a young mother. Life is too precious to miss the simple joys and the wonders of life.

I love to get out and enjoy the beauties of the earth. I am grateful for good health. I am thankful that I can go hiking, work in my yard and garden, and go for a daily walk. I am especially grateful to have a home to take care of.

I am grateful for good employment. I know there are many who do not have this blessing in their lives.

My cup runneth over with blessings. My list could go on and on. I hope you all take the time to reflect on the many blessings you receive each day. My love and gratitude are with you as you celebrate Thanksgiving. I wish we could all be together.
