Memorial Day

For Memorial Day we invited a group of people from our ward to meet at Darby Creek Park and have sandwiches and salads and let the kids play at the park. The guys played wiffle baseball and we all had a great time.

Vermont

Ben and Jerry's need I say more- Yum Yum!

So Thursday Shawn came home from school and wanted to go somewhere for the weekend, so we picked Vermont. It takes about 4 hours to get there with no traffic. We stopped at the visitor's center when you first get into Vermont and the man at the desk gave us a STACK of things to see. More than one person can see in one weekend. So we picked a few places to see. We stayed in a place called Queechee. Right by where we stayed is a place they call the Vermont Grand Canyon. It was very pretty. Sorry no pictures of that. We only looked at it in passing.

We did go to a glass blowing place. It was cool to see how they make glasses. We could have watched for a very long time, but it got really warm. They heat the sand up to 2400 degrees Farenheit.

Then we went to the birthplace of Jospeh Smith. It was fun to be where he grew up and to hear the stories.
A

fter that we went to Ben and Jerry's. We took a factory tour and the last part of the tour was ice cream tasting. That was the best part!

Then we went to an apple cider plant and to dinner. They use real vermont sour cream, butter, and cheese.

That was our trip in a nutshell.

The latest and greatest

so I posted some things on the anderson family blog, and since i don't have much time this morning everyone can click the link on the side to look at those picture. But here are some of the latest and greatest. We can't believe how big our little boy is getting.

This is one of his latest tricks. We put him down on his back yesterday on the floor and when we went back in he was on his side. Who knows how long it will be until he starts to roll, but this is a start. Then when we start to clap for him he smiles!

Shawn's favorite onesie for Parker- "Tax Deduction." This is what Parker wore while I was at work on Saturday. Parker loves to sit up so we decided to put him in his booster seat while we ate dinner. He is now going to be a regular at the dinner table. But he only gets toys, no food.

Parker has found his toes. He loves to pull his legs in and grab his feet. This is one of Parkers favorite outfits. If he is getting fussy and there isn't anything he wants just take his clothes off and put him on the floor and he is a happy baby. How many baby's actually like their diapers changed. He does!

We can't believe he is getting so big. But we love to watch the new things that he is doing. He still loves his baths and he would be in there for hours if we would let him.

Darby Creek

Saturday, we went to Darby Creek Metro Park with our friends the Hansens. It has a playground and then trails to walk on. About halfway down the trail there is a little creek we let the kids play in. Hannah ran most of the way down the trail and back. We all had a lot of fun.

Baby in a basket

Parker fit into the little yellow outfit when he was newborn, but not anymore.

He fits perfectly into the basket. There is a little smile under his hands too.
