Anderson Family Happenings

Parker wasn't so fond of the camel. It had hairy flabby lips, but liked to be very friendly.
A "cow" as Parker puts it. Everything is either a cow or a dog these days except for birds- those he has down. Some of the rabbits were big enough that they resembled a miniature cow.
This is my attempt at a cool picture. Parker had lots of fun running around this rock structure on our drive this weekend.

The bird- Parker is learning to be more gentle. We are working on sitting calm while the bird is out so he doesn't jump on it and squash it. I think he wishes the bird could stay out all day because he doesn't like when we put him back in his cage. Right now the birds name is bird. We asked Parker what he wanted to call the bird and and he said bird. We are trying to teach Parker that there is a difference between mommy and daddy- for a while he would point at himself and say daddy. So lately he will point at me and say mommy and to Shawn and say Daddy and to the bird and say bird. This he repeats over and over and over, But at least he is getting it. So Bird it is for right now.

We hope that everyone is doing well and we love you all.

A Blast From the Past

The Spanish branch invited us to a 50's dance on Saturday evening. They requested that we dress appropriately for the occasion.

Thanks for all your support!

I thought you would enjoy seeing the picture that the BYU Bachelor of General Studies photographer took at the BGS graduation luncheon. I appreciate all of your support as I pursued my degree. I love you all bunches.

This is the life

We found Parker just "kicking back" in the living room watching Sesame street the other day.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Parker is in love with his new train set! I think he could play with it all day if he had that attention span.

Minature potty

So we went to the mall by our new place and the family bathroom had these minature bathroom facilities in them- perfect for little kids. I just laughed when I looked in the bathroom- the toilet looked like doll furniture at first glance. If we ever build a house I would love to install one of these in a kids bathroom. And we just can't get rid of that darn pacifier- or nanny as Parker calls it so I've decided to just let him have it for a little longer.

Don't pick your nose

Posted by Picasa
Parker's favorite book yesterday was the "choo choo" book. He would try and repeat all the names of the animals- ewophan was our favorite.

Parker is the keeper of the hose. If the water is on he has to be holding the hose.

Luckily I had my camera for this one. I don't know why when he is pointing out body parts and gets to nose he has to stick his finger up his or anyone elses nose. So much for not picking your friends nose.

Bubbles, bubbles everywhere!

The Turleys just got back from vacation and had some shampoo spill in a bag. When they went to wash it out it created LOTS of bubbles and LOTS of fun for the boys.

Are you ready for me?

Hello, hello- can you hear me? Parker's pilot headphones- they are the only headphones that he would keep on and he didn't want to take them off (He actually cried when we took them off). He talked to himself the whole way to the car from the store. They are going to be our lifesaver on the flight along with the dvd player we just got for Parker.

The drying out process.

Baseboards and kickboards removed. Holes drilled. Plastic tubes inserted and connected to the blowers. All of the blowers turned on and we now live in a noise chamber that sounds like a jet engine and is about 90 degrees.
These little units pump air into the walls. The big worry is under the stairway which has no access so this location gets special treatment.
The octopus with the blower directly attached. The bathroom which was to source of the problem get its own air unit and lots of attention too.
The family room with Craig the master dryer inserting and connecting up all of the hoses.
Monster fan in the hallway moving air. Blower in the right background pumping air which eventually goes into the walls. The tall unit on the left behind the fan is a mega dehumidifier. So the deal is the blowers move air into the walls through the funky tubes. The air picks up the moisture and comes out the other holes that were drilled. The big fans move all of the air through the entire house and the dehumidifier sucks the water out.

Water Water Everywhere!

We thought you might like to see the fun we have been having at our house. I am sure the grandchildren would have loved to put on their swimsuits and have some fun. We could have used our kitchen as a slip and slid!

The problems all started with this little tube under the bathroom sink. The H20 911 clean-up crew recommend that homeowners replace these little tubes at least every ten years.

Parkers new favorite toy, A scooter and a helmet, at least he likes the helmet.
What a boy- fell flat in the mud and then wiped his hands on his clothes and put them in his mouth. Thank goodness for Oxyclean.
My boys at the beach.
Parker filling his bucket with sand.
Parker didn't like the sand on his feet at first. But we buried my feet and then just started putting piles of sand on Parkers feet and buried him up to the waist- he helped.

pics from mom and dad's visit to Connecticut

There was a storm that passed right over us at the Empire State building. We had to wait inside for about 30 minutes but then we were able to go back outside so dad could take more pictures.

The statue of Liberty.

The beach

Central Park

Central Park again.

We were so glad that mom and dad could come visit. We had lots of fun and the week flew by, probably because we filled each day with activities. We are so excited to see everyone in July.

One a side note. Parker is learning a lot and mimicing everything. Today he said what sounded like Amen in church, probably because he heard it dozens of times during testimony meeting. In the back yard he had to play in the mud because Landon played in the mud. I will have to see how the picture turned out. And last of all he said pee pee in the tub because I told him to stop playing with his pee pee. What a funny boy! He is just like a sponge. He wants to copy everything. And he is learning that if he wants something he can grab your finger and direct you to where it is- like the fridge or outside. Such a smart cookie!
